Best Purchase of 2008

I recently bought the Logitech Squeezebox Boom All-In-One Network Music Player. It is by far the greatest purchase I’ve made in 2008, and I’m going to tell you all about it!
The Logitech Boom connects to your wireless (or wired) home network and streams your music collection from your computer or network attached storage using the SqueezeCenter/SlimServer protocol. It can play your iTunes collection. If you’re like me and prefer lossless audio files like FLAC, it supports those too! Don’t like your own music collection? It can even stream Pandora, Rhapsody, and a bunch of other Internet radio services.
Despite its small size, the sound quality is excellent. It blows my old iHome away. It has a remote control and all basic alarm clock settings, so this morning I was able to wake up to my Pearl Jam station on Pandora. Tomorrow I’m going to wake up to Billy Joel’s 12 Gardens album.
You can also control the device from your computer or iPhone using a program called iPeng. So if you’re on the toilet and just need to hear the White Album, now you can do that.
You want to own this device. If you have about $300 to spare and you like music, you will not be disappointed. I <3 Logitech.
