Paywalls are a bad idea! The newspaper business is really blowing it on and offline.
This definitely doesn’t mean Paywalls are a bad idea. It means Newsday is a piece of shit local Long Island tabloid that no one wants to pay for (and/or that its readership doesn’t know how to use computers). I will pay for content if it is high quality and more importantly if the delivery mechanism is great. I have a feeling I’ll be subscribing to the New York Times iTablet app soon. It could totally redefine my morning poop.
