Not so long ago, Stephanie Sammons would charge her clients a pretty penny for her services.
She was a high-powered certified financial planner at Merrill Lynch in Dallas, and her advice didn’t come cheaply. Clients with, say, $500,000 to invest might pay between $7,500 and $10,000 annually to have Sammons tend to their money.
But I’m going to let you in on a little secret. You can get Sammons’ advice for only a fraction of that amount. She left Merrill last June and has hooked up with an outfit called Covestor Investment Management.
