The Hebrew/Lunar year of 5770 is upon us!
The 60s were a memorable decade: Graduated High School and College. Started a great career with a failed business but have gotten to work at great companies since. Toured the country and world with two different Jewish vocal bands. Lost weight, gained it back. Lost a friend. Met a girl, asked her to marry me. Learned to run, ran the half marathon, running the marathon in 5770. Moved residences about 10 times in the first half of the decade, stayed put for the second half.
And to speculate about the 70s: Marry the Petra, make a home with her, have babies, raise them in our image. Teach them about Mozart, The Beatles, The Who, and Pearl Jam. Make a permanent mark on the business world. Run 10 more marathons. The rest is gravy.
Whether you observe the holiday by hearing the Shofar, spending time with family, or just personal reflection, may the next year be happy, healthy and sweet for everyone, everywhere. Shana Tovah U’Metukah.
