Six13’s on the Bunk1.com float (feat Petra), waiting to enter the Salute to Israel parade, on 58th and 5th.
Whoever made the float misinterpreted the name of our group as 6:13, like a chapter and verse. Six13 (613) is like a Jewish good luck number, and corresponds to the number of commandments (“mitzvahs” as in “bar mitzvah”) in the bible. American Jewry redefined the word, through ignorance, as “good deed.”
The parade was a lot of fun. I saw so many familiar faces in the crowd and it was exciting to sing the same 3 songs 10 times while driving down 5th Avenue.
