Say Yes To The Dress
This afternoon while Daniel and I are at Pearl Jam in Philly… …Petra, her mom Tessa, and my mom Jill, are going to the world famous Kleinfeld Bridal for Petra to try on wedding dresses. Apparently, this is *the* place to go. It is also the venue of the world’s most annoying wonderful TV show, TLC’s Say Yes To The Dress. I honestly think the three gals might have more fun...

Better seats at this show… 15th row dead center, but its always harder to see from straight on than from the side. The show was weird, a very random setlist and not a great flow. That said, a lot of gems. Even better, only 2 songs overlap from the first night. Expectations are very high for tonight and tomorrow! Philly 1 - 10/27/09 - Wachovia Spectrum
Night 1 shows are usually tame, but this absolutely wasn’t. 31 songs, some quite obscure (just the way I like it), and the promise of playing all the songs in the Pearl Jam catalog over the 4 nights, including playing until 2am on Saturday (with rumored guests Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi). The Spectrum will be closed out in style! Corduroy Whipping Hail Hail Supersonic Dissident ...

Marathon: Postponed
This is a letter I just sent to all my marathon donors: Dear Supporter, It disappoints me to inform you that due to an injury I will not be running the NYC Marathon this weekend. On the morning of October 1st, just hours after my last email to you, I woke up with a pain in my left foot. I took a few days off but the pain persisted, and a visit to an Orthopedist revealed “left peroneal...

(via mikehudack, syntheticpubes) My parents Jon and Jill are both left handed but my brother and I are both right handed. If Petra and my kids turn out lefties, we’re going to force them to be righties like they did in the good old days. Hopefully Petra will not read this post.

Burger Wars
In-n-Out or Shake Shack? I have had this discussion with a lot of people and most NYers seem to think that Shake Shack is the better burger. While Shack Shack does make a good burger, I theorize that it is held in such high regard because of the apparent demand for it. People justify waiting 30-60 minutes for an overpriced burger by believing it is the best ever. I’ve lost 20 pounds over...
